note that 2021 is the year that we encourage you to BRING YOUR
OWN - for the health and safety of our guests and in line
with best practices during COVID-19 we have removed books, games,
puzzles, binoculars and other items from the cabins. We will also
not be providing outdoor equipment such as tennis rackets, balls,
shuffleboard equipment, etc. In addition, as the lobby area is
part of our personal residence and a common area for guests the
lobby is currently closed and our movie collection is not available
(there are Red Box locations at QFC and Safeway in town if you
want to rent movies). We apologize for any inconvenience and thank
you for your understanding.

and utensils. A BBQ is available for use in the pool area in
the summer when the pool is open and in the gazebo year round.]
We provide all cozy bedding and towels, including dog sheets/towels
(for paw wiping and furniture covering). Please note that
we use down duvets and pillows - let us know in advance if you
have an allergy and we will happily prepare a down-free bed
for you. We do not provide extra bedding for pull-outs unless
there is an extra guest or upon request.
All cabins have Blu-ray/DVD units (for movie watching, no cable
TV except at the Meadow House) and we have a large library of
movies for loan in the office (currently unavailable due to
COVID-19 - there are Red Box locations at QFC and Safeway in
town). You will also find an MP3 compatible CD player/radio
(units in the larger cottages also have Bluetooth connectivity).
All cabins also have complementary wireless internet access.
In addition to cable TV, the Meadow House Blu-ray/DVD player
has streaming capabilities.
Hairdryers, conditioning shampoo, hand soap, bandaids, and votive
candles can also be found in each cabin.
Looking for a cozy place for the fall or winter? Cabin #6 and
Meadow House have wood burning stoves and we keep the cabins
fully stocked with firewood and kindling (we even build your
first fire for you so all you have to do is light it). Clubhouse
and Homestead both have cozy gas fireplaces.
available for loan:
While we try to think of everything our guests might need during
their stay and stock the cabins accordingly, we do also have
items available for loan for no additional charge. These items
include high chairs, pack n' plays. We previously also had DVDs,
books, board games, outdoor games, beach towels, and extra dishes
and tables/seating for large groups (not currently available
due to COVID-19 restrictions). Have a special request? Please
ask! We are happy to try our best to accommodate you.
Our property offers unparalleled views of
Discovery Bay and the foothills of the Olympic mountains. Cabins
4, 6, and the Clubhouse are all perched on the cliff above the
bay, while Cabins 7, 10 and the Homestead House sit a bit lower
on the property and offer garden vistas. The Meadow House has
a gorgeous view of a pond, pasture, barn and surrounding trees.
It is not uncommon to see bald eagles, herons and geese soaring
above Discovery Bay and the Meadow House.
The south-facing private sandy beach is a
true gem – perfect for clam digging, campfires, picnics, long
walks, dog swimming (people too!), castle-building, shell and sand
dollar collecting, and naps in the sun. You will rarely encounter
another soul on our beach, and when the tides cooperate you can
walk for miles. Discovery Bay is also lovely spot for kayaking and
Basketball hoop, Swings, Teatherball and More
There is so much to do onsite that many
of our guests never leave the property. We have a heated swimming
pool (open Memorial Day to mid-September), a gazebo/firepit/BBQ
area, a basketball hoop, a shuffleboard court, horseshoes, tetherball,
a rope-swing, a swing set and, of course, the beach. Discovery
Bay Golf Course (an 18-hole, dog-friendly golf course!) is
also right across the street and the trailhead for the Larry
Scott Trail which is great for biking, running or walking
is also just up the street.
